1) RETISSA display Ⅱ with Accessory Camera
The second-generation retinal projection laser eyewear and an accessory camera, which is a commercialized product.
Using a low-power RGB semiconductor laser module and MEMS, beams of three colors are collimated to converge onto the pupil, providing a high-resolution image on the retina. The ultra-compact projector inside the eyeglass frame makes possible a natural-looking eyewear.
RETISSA Super Capture -Prototype-
This model has a retinal projection device with a 60° viewing angle attached to the viewfinder of a digital camera achieving an effective solution for retinal diseases.
-Documentary Movie “With My Eyes”
With My Eyes project aims to change vision-imapaired people’s perception of "difficult to see" into "I can see". The Documentary Movie shows a new challenge of a vision impaired person taking photos with their own eyes using "RETISSA SUPER CAPTURE. " https://youtu.be/1C6k0gnUILs
<RETISSA series features>
-Free-focus retinal imaging
The clarity of the image is independent of the focusing function and the focal position, enabling a clear full-color image that naturally overlaps the visual field even with myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, and presbyopia.
-Solving social issues in this aging society
QD Laser, Inc. is to apply this technology to support the visually impaired and enable diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases with the aim to provide medical examination equipment and medical healthcare services. This challenge meets the needs of this aging society with the predicted rapid increase of visual impairment.
QD Laser was started in 2006 as a spin-off venture of Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. as a pioneer in the commercialization of quantum dot laser technology, and has been delivering new semiconductor laser solutions to customers in a wide range of fields including communications, industrial, medical and consumer applications.
The product we are exhibiting this time is laser retinal projection, a technology that uses a faint laser beam that enters through the pupil to directly draw images on the retina. Through the RETISSA series, we hope to provide a new world and create new values not only for people with low vision but also for all people. https://youtu.be/URvlUT6IX3Q
